Walkthrough of Shenmue I & II

Shenmue I:

1. Start the game by selecting “New Game” from the main menu.
2. Choose your character’s gender and appearance, then click on “Start Game.”
3. After the opening cinematic, you’ll be in Ryo Hazuki’s bedroom. Head to the right and enter the door on the far side of the room to find a secret passage. Follow it to a hidden room with a treasure chest containing an item called “The Dragon Mirror.” Leave through the door in front of you.
4. In front of you is a large courtyard with several paths leading off it. Head to the right and follow that path until you reach a bridge over a river. Cross it and head down the path on your left, passing through an opening in a fence to reach another courtyard with several buildings in it, including one that looks like a prison cell (you can’t enter it).
5. Enter the building on your left (it’s marked with an “S” on your map) and go down into its basement, where you’ll find Ryo Hazuki’s father waiting for you inside his cell (you can’t enter it). Talk to him and he’ll give you Shenmue I – The Dragon Mirror as well as some money. Leave through the door opposite his cell, which will take you back outside.
6. Now head back up towards where you found that bridge over the river earlier – this time take the path leading away from it instead of towards it, passing through another opening in a fence to reach another courtyard with several buildings in it, including one that looks like a temple (you can’t enter it).
7. Entering this building will trigger an event where Ryo Hazuki is ambushed by thugs while he’s trying to leave town; after they’ve been dealt with, talk to Shenhua at her tea shop across from where they attacked Ryo Hazuki (she’ll be upset because she was hoping he would marry her). After talking to her, leave town via either of its two exits – one leading back towards where you found that bridge over the river earlier and one leading back towards Ryo Hazuki’s house (the latter is marked on your map).
8. Once outside town again, continue following your map until you reach an area called Yuyao Bay – here, head north along its coastline until you reach an island called Heng Dao (it’s marked on your map). You can’t access Heng Dao from anywhere else so make sure not to miss it! Once there, explore its interior until you find Shenhua waiting for you at its summit; after talking to her, return back down to Yuyao Bay via either of its two entrances – one leading back towards where you found that bridge over the river earlier and one leading back towards Ryo Hazuki’s house (the latter is marked on your map).
9 . When returning home after finding Shenhua at Heng Dao , there are three possible outcomes depending on how many items were collected during your journey: If all items were not collected then Ryo Hazuki will confront his father about his lack of involvement in his son’s life before leaving home for good; if all items were collected then Ryo Hazuki will confront his father about his lack of involvement in his son’s life before leaving home but remain friends with him; if all items were collected then Shenhua will offer herself as bait so that Ryo Hazuki can rescue her from her abusive husband before leaving home for good . In any case , once returning home , save your game before entering .
